In 2017, the Long Beach Department of Economic and Property Development selected ETA to create a branding identity for the organization as it championed its mission under a new name, the Economic Development Department. Tasked with encouraging citywide growth and providing professional connections for all Long Beach residents, Economic Development looked to ETA to convey this powerful messaging in an impactful, modern way. A revamped logo and style guide led the creative process, along with the creation of a “10-year vision” Blueprint and accompanying website design recommendations. With the use of impeccable design and clean layouts, the communication materials generated awareness among the community, investors and industry partners. To highlight the diversity of the city, the Blueprint was also formatted and designed to accommodate Spanish and Khmer translations, laying the foundation for future outreach to these specific audiences.
